<p>Purpose: Equip smallholder farmers, extension officers, agripreneurs and farm technicians with practical agronomy, extension techniques and the skills to produce regenerative/restorative farm inputs (compost, vermicompost, microbial inoculants, fermented foliar feeds), improve on-farm soil health, climate resilience and farm profitability.</p>

<p>Delivery mode: blended (classroom theory + hands-on farm practicals + field visits + demonstration plots). Include farmer field schools and peer-learning practicums.</p>

<p>This endorsement is a direct and practical application of the KNCA&#8217;s mission to &#8220;protect the interests of the Kenyan coffee industry&#8221; and &#8220;expand market access.&#8221; The G4T certification provides a vital framework for cooperatives to:</p>



<p>· Achieve EUDR Compliance: The certification helps map and verify that coffee beans are sourced from farmland that has not been subject to recent deforestation, a core requirement of the EUDR.<br>· Meet Broader Environmental Standards: It goes beyond deforestation to address other critical environmental protection metrics, including soil health, water usage, and biodiversity conservation.<br>· Simplify the Process for Farmers: By endorsing a single, robust standard, the KNCA prevents confusion and reduces the burden on farmers who might otherwise face multiple, costly audits from different buyers.<br>· Safeguard Market Access: With the EU being a major destination for Kenyan coffee, this endorsement is crucial for ensuring uninterrupted access for its members. It future-proofs Kenyan coffee against regulatory barriers.</p>



<p>This move demonstrates the KNCA&#8217;s role as more than just a promoter; it is a pragmatic partner providing tangible tools for its members to navigate the global market&#8217;s evolving demands. By championing the G4T certification, Alfred Gitau Mwaura and the KNCA are ensuring that Kenyan coffee remains not only a premier product in terms of cup quality but also a leading example in sustainability and regulatory compliance.
