Not all of us can fit on the World Barista Championship stage — but all of us, as youth, can become champions of Good Trade in our communities.
At Kenya Coffee School (KCS™), we believe that coffee is more than a beverage; it is a bridge between farmers, youth, and the planet. Through the Barista Mtaani Advocate Program (BMAP), we are nurturing a new generation of Coffee Advocates — young people who understand that true success in coffee comes not only from brewing excellence, but from advocating fairness, protecting the environment, and supporting farmer-centred value chains.

The Barista Mtaani Advocate Program (BMAP) is a noble, community-based course that trains youth in:
- Coffee advocacy and climate action
- Farmer-centric trade and value chain ethics
- Environmental sustainability and circular economy principles
- Community leadership and storytelling through coffee
BMAP is a movement — not just a course — designed to ensure that every cup of coffee brewed in Kenya contributes to:
- Farmer prosperity
- Youth empowerment
- Climate and environmental protection
