Wealthy Country, Poor People Kenya is a country rich in resources and potential. Our coffee sector, for instance, holds tremendous promise for tourism, innovation, and economic growth. Yet, over 40% of Kenyans live in abject poverty. Our heavy reliance on rain-fed agriculture leaves millions vulnerable to climate shocks, highlighting the urgent need for strategic thinking and forward-looking policies. We must leverage our natural wealth, knowledge, and innovation to build a more resilient, inclusive, and prosperous Kenya.
