ACI · CCS · NVTS — A Framework for Measuring, Crediting, and Tracing Competence
ACI™ · CCS™ · NVTS™
A framework for measuring, crediting, and tracing competence
Competence should be measured, credited, and traced back to its source.
ACI™, CCS™, and NVTS™ are three interlocking systems that turn demonstrated ability into a portable credit, and follow the value it creates back to the people who created it.

How the three systems connect
ACI™
Measure
competence in practice
CCS™
Credit
it as a portable unit
NVTS™
Trace
the value it generates
↺ traced value flows back into the record, sharpening the next measurement
Three systems, one purpose
Recognizing real capability — and what it produces
ACI™
Applied Competence Index
Purpose: measurement
A standardized index of competence as it’s actually applied — not a test score or a credential, but a measure of how effectively someone’s skill produces real outcomes in real conditions. ACI is the entry point: it establishes a defensible, evidence-based reading of ability before anything is credited or traced.
INPUT → demonstrated performance
CCS™
Competence Credits System
Purpose: conversion
Converts an ACI-verified competence reading into a portable credit — a recognized unit of capability that travels with a person across employers, institutions, and borders. CCS is what makes competence liquid: something that can be accumulated, presented, and acted on, instead of re-proven from scratch every time.
OUTPUT → a portable credit record
NVTS™
Natural Value Traceability System
Purpose: attribution
Follows the value created once a credited competence is put to work, tracing it back to its source. NVTS closes the loop: it ensures the people and processes that generate real value can be identified and recognized, rather than that value being attributed anonymously or upstream.
OUTCOME → value linked to its source
Why it’s structured this way
Each system solves a different failure
01
Credentials aren’t competence
ACI is built to measure what someone can actually do, addressing the gap between paper qualifications and demonstrated ability.
02
Competence shouldn’t be stranded
CCS gives measured competence a portable form, so it isn’t locked inside one employer’s or institution’s records.
03
Value gets misattributed
NVTS traces outcomes back to their real source, so recognition and reward follow the people who actually created the value.
04
The loop reinforces itself
Traced value feeds back into the record, so each cycle through the three systems produces a sharper, more accountable picture.

Founder
Alfred Gitau Mwaura
Founder, ACI™ · CCS™ · NVTS™
Alfred Gitau Mwaura created the ACI, CCS, and NVTS framework to address a gap he saw across education, work, and economic systems: competence is measured inconsistently, rarely travels with the person who holds it, and the value it generates is often credited to the wrong place.
The three systems were designed to work as a single pipeline — measure, credit, trace — so that applied ability and the value it produces can be recognized accurately and portably, wherever it’s put to use.
Credentials, professional history, and a full biography can be added here — this section currently reflects only the details provided for this site.
