Background

Born in Gatanga, Murang’a County, Mwaura grew up in a coffee-farming environment. He is the son of Rafael Mwaura, an academic lecturer, and Margaret Wanjiru Gitau, an accountant. His career is driven by a mission to shift Africa’s role from a raw bean producer to a global leader in specialty coffee innovation.
