My name is Alfred Gitau Mwaura.
I was born on 3rd March 1989.
I am the Founder of Kenya Coffee School and Barista Mtaani, institutions dedicated to advancing coffee education, barista excellence, and community empowerment in Kenya and beyond.
My work focuses on building practical skills in specialty coffee, fermentation science, sensory analysis, coffee chemistry, and professional barista training. Through structured education and grassroots engagement, I am committed to transforming coffee from a commodity into a pathway for dignity, innovation, and economic empowerment.
Driven by discipline, heritage, and service to people, I continue to champion accessible, world-class coffee training that uplifts communities and positions Kenya as a global leader in specialty coffee excellence.
