1. Purpose
This Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) establishes a framework for collaboration between the Barista Coffee Skills & Technology Training Institute (BCSTTI) affiliated to Kenya Coffee School (KCS) in Kenya : KCS Logo

and __________________________________________________ in __________________(Country). The purpose is to strengthen coffee education, professional training, and cultural exchange through structured student and faculty exchange programs.
2. Objectives
The objectives of this partnership include:
- Facilitating student exchange programs that allow participants to gain international exposure to specialty coffee practices.
- Promoting faculty collaboration in curriculum development, training, and research on coffee science, Agriculture, Ecology, Food Systems, technology, and sustainability.
- Sharing best practices in coffee roasting, brewing, processing, and entrepreneurship.
- Creating opportunities for joint workshops, seminars, and certifications.
- Enhancing career pathways for students through global networking and professional opportunities.
3. Roles and Responsibilities
BCSTTI/KCS will:
- Select and prepare eligible students for exchange programs.
- Provide orientation and academic support for international students hosted in Kenya.
- Facilitate logistics for local training sessions and community coffee and other projects.
In our MOU Cooperation____________________________________ will:
- Host BCSTTI students for exchange and training programs.
- Provide access to facilities, instructors, and curriculum resources.
- Offer exposure to local coffee industry practices and networks.
Both Parties will:
- Jointly design exchange curricula and schedules.
- Ensure cultural sensitivity, inclusivity, and safety of participants.
- Explore co-branding opportunities for international recognition.
4. Duration and Review
This MOU shall remain in effect for # ________ years from the date of signing. It may be reviewed annually and renewed upon mutual agreement.
5. Financial Arrangements
Each party shall bear its own costs unless otherwise agreed in writing. Specific financial commitments (e.g., travel grants, accommodation, or tuition waivers) may be detailed in supplementary agreements.
