What it is: Espresso on the Wheels

  • UNEA-7: The 7th session of the United Nations Environment Assembly, the world’s top environmental decision-making body, held in Nairobi, Kenya.
  • The Espresso on wheels by Barista Mtaani : Specialty coffee (espresso, cappuccinos, lattes) served by young Kenyan baristas from pop-up carts.
  • The Mission: To use coffee as a conversation starter about climate change, connecting delegates with the real-world impacts on coffee-growing communities.

Key Aspects:

  • Climate Education: Baristas discussed climate-smart practices, soil health, water conservation, and the need for climate funding.
  • Youth Empowerment: Provided opportunities for young people (Barista Mtaani) to engage in climate diplomacy.
  • Kenyan Pride: Showcased Kenya’s contribution to the global sustainability dialogue through its coffee culture.

In essence, it’s not just about drinking espresso at UNEA-7; it’s about drinking in climate solutions and fostering real action. Espresso on Wheels Contact 0707503647 or 0704375390
