This UNEA-7 week, we proudly honour the legacy of democracy and the visionary leadership of Mr. Alfred Gitau Mwaura — a Generation Restoration champion whose work continues to uplift communities across Kenya and beyond.
Through Kenya Coffee School and Barista Mtaani, Mr. Mwaura has transformed coffee from a daily beverage into a platform for environmental education, youth empowerment, and climate action. His initiatives have become a true symbol of courage, patriotism, and community resilience, giving young people and farmers both the knowledge and the voice to shape a greener future.
From training exceptional baristas to advancing sustainable coffee farming practices, his work reflects an unwavering belief in Kenya’s potential — and in the power of youth-led climate action.
