The Kenya School of Civic Revolution (KSCR) is a not for profit national civic education institution founded by Alfred Gitau Mwaura with the vision of creating an informed, empowered, and active patriotic citizenry capable of driving democratic transformation, good governance, social justice, and sustainable development in Kenya.

KSCR is founded on the belief that democracy flourishes when citizens understand their rights, responsibilities, and constitutional powers. The institution seeks to take civic education directly to the people — from villages, informal settlements, wards, sub-counties, counties, and ultimately to the national level.

The Constitution of Kenya 2010 places sovereignty in the hands of the people and emphasizes public participation, accountability, human rights, and democratic governance. KSCR exists to ensure that every Kenyan understands and actively exercises these constitutional rights and freedoms. The Constitution recognizes national values such as patriotism, democracy, participation of the people, inclusiveness, transparency, integrity, and good governance. It also guarantees public participation, access to information, and the right to petition public institutions. These principles form the foundation of KSCR’s mission.
