Discover OSE™What is OSE™?
Open Skills Education™ (OSE™) is a global framework that removes academic gatekeeping and replaces it with skills-based access to work, dignity and economic participation. We believe that no one should be denied opportunity because they lacked grades, money, or formal education.
Why OSE™ Exists
Millions of youth are locked out of jobs because their skills are invisible. At the same time, industries need trained baristas, technicians, hospitality workers, agripreneurs and digital operators. OSE™ bridges this gap by turning skills into verified, employable credentials.
What We Do
Open Access Training
Anyone can learn — regardless of background, gender, grades or location.
Skills-Based Certification
Certificates based on what you can do, not where you went to school.
Digital Verification
Employers anywhere can verify skills through secure digital credentials.
Job & Enterprise Pathways
From baristas to agripreneurs — we link skills directly to income.
Aligned with the United Nations SDGs
OSE™ supports SDG 1 (No Poverty), SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 5 (Gender Equality), SDG 8 (Decent Work), and SDG 10 (Reduced Inequality) by turning skills into livelihoods.
Our Founder
Open Skills Education™ was founded by Alfred Gitau Mwaura, Founder & Executive Secretary General of Kenya Coffee School and Barista Mtaani. His work focuses on unlocking African youth through skills, certification and enterprise.
