Barista Mtaani is a grassroots youth empowerment initiative focused on specialty coffee skills, entrepreneurship, and job creation in local communities. It’s an innovative program by Kenya Coffee School that brings professional barista training to local communities across Kenya, democratizing coffee education and empowering youth and coffee enthusiasts.
Program Highlights:
- Hands-on Barista Skills training, including espresso preparation, milk frothing, and latte art
- Coffee Value Addition covering basics of coffee roasting, blending, packaging, and branding
- Business & Financial Literacy teaching entrepreneurship skills, including starting a coffee kiosk or mobile stand
- Job Linkages & Mentorship providing internships and networking opportunities
Training Levels and Fees:
- Weekend Warrior Edition (2 days): KSh 5,000
- Skill Mastery Edition (5 days): KSh 10,000
- Elite Barista Edition (21 days): KSh 25,000
